I just went through the same nightmare when was trying to replace a rear rotor. After completely destroying one of the screws, I ended up having to pay $20 to a tire shop to finally get the rotor off using a impact driver. The very next day, I went to Sears and found an impact driver on sale for, you guessed it $20.

Buy the right tool and save yourself the hassle.

I stripped mine with an impact wrench, and wound up cutting a groove into them, and using a flat head impact on it. That did the trick quite well.

At work we put them back on with the impact driver to. It lets us rest easy at night. Not only will the rotor be on well but we have job security

absolutely wrong, but the lug nuts and wheel work pretty well
