Del Slo 1.5 L needs help

Ihave a 93 del sol 1.5 liter need some advise on what is easy to do and doesnt require much altering of the engine. In about two years when I get out of college I plan on swapping it with a H-22A engine that is now in california but until then I want to fix this motor up just need advise. p.s. the body is in flawless condition and I have 17s and am about to have 2" lowering springs on it plus the suspension is to be upgraded in the near future, so now all i need is somewhat of a motor that will get me somewhere a little faster from one of the smallest engines made ty

i'd say getting yourself an intake and some headers. well to start you off. then exhaust, something basic, well thats my 2 cents

wait the 2 yrs and just drop in a that swap, any money u spend now is pointless, just ejoy the car, and keep it in pristine shape! then in 2 yrs you'll have a decently fast, nice loking sol without rust etc if u were to drive it for the 2 yrs prior to swap...thats what I would do, in fact ive kinda gien up doing ANY more mods on my sol, because in 1 year i plan on moving on to somethign different (something 4 door) so why spend the momney y'know? Plan on getting a 04-05 Subaru WRX Sti

i would say...skip that...take the 1000 bucks you would have spent on that and put in a z6/y8 motor/s20 tranny.......best (reliable) bang for the buck

if i were you though i would probably jsut wait for the h22..because nothing is gunna make your car really fast for under 5k...and if you plan on the H22..why waste the money now on crap your gunna either toss or sell for peanuts when your done with it?....but if anything swap to sohc vtec...

w3rd. save your money if you plan on a swap. mods now will be pointless, and youll use the money later. thats why im stepping back from modding my car anymore after a catback, since i dont plan on a swap..the money spent on mods isnt worth the gains.

i'd say go for d16z6 or if you wanna spend $ for power get b16 cause that h22 will be a pain in the ass.
