who the fuck told you its too old? if anything its too new. obd2=no chip. you need to convert it to obd1 P30A get a conversion harness and a p30a

What kind of mods do you have?
Do you plan on actually getting the car tuned or just slapping in some "mugen" or other POS chip?
Unless you are forced induction or have aftermarket camshafts there's no reason to touch your ECU.

for some reason i thought he was going FI. oops.
the p30a is from an obd1 del sol VTEC(b16a3) boomslang makes conversion harnesses. this is the best i could find in 5 min
but more searching will likely yield better results. im about to go to the mall sorry cant help more.
btw find out if you have obd2a or obd2b first.

96-98 = OBD-2a
99-00 = OBD-2b

but he is going to rewire my ECU or change my ECU and rewire again maybe i got him wrong..
I got a Exhaust headers CAI system and wires ..getting alot more till the end of the summer.

I second that motion...not until you get some damn cams and what not...there's no point...everyone has already made it clear...I don't know why he keeps asking if it's worth it or not?

how about this...spend the 400 on it now, and when you get your cams and other mods...see how well that chipped ecu benefits your setup

hehe yeah.
The whole point of socketing your ECU is so you can get a tune for your complete setup.
If you get it done now and add mods you'll just have to do it again later.
Also is it just some premade chip? Or will you be tuned on a dyno/wideband?
