Exhaust Fitment

Hey everyone,

I'm new here, or at least new to posting here. I'm looking for a greddy sp2 for my 93 del Sol si, and I'm wondering if it's "one size fits all" for aftermarket exhausts. I'm pretty sure that there's only a difference in piping size for the stock exhausts, but aftermarket catbacks will fit any model del sol. Is this true? This is what I'm looking to buy, but the only reason I'm asking is that when I put it in my cart is specifically says "VTEC" as a subtitle in all caps.

I already tried to order from EDO performance, which was a huge mistake. Has anyone dealt with The Performance Driver?

Thanks,

Matt

mufflers are a universal fit, but actual catback systems aren't. Mainly bc of the piping and what not.

So Greddy makes more than one sp2 system for the del Sol?

If they do, I'd imagine they'd have seperate ones for each model sol. ie: the S, SI, and the Vtec. I'm guessing that they should, seeing how the motors that came in each model sol were different.

I'm pretty sure they don't. I've never seen more than one listed anywhere.

"Note: SP2 Exhaust for All Model / Pipe size 60mm / Tip size 115x110mm"

taken from: http://www.eautoworks.com/html/produ...source=froogle

then again, here it says:

Tip: 115 x 110mm dia.
Piping: 60mm
Applications: Honda Del Sol VTEC 92-96

taken from: http://www.radiummotorsports.com/Gre...96-pr-153.html

I'm willing to bet that since there are no chassis differences which would affect mounting of an aftermarket exhaust, the only problem might be pipe size. You probably wouldn't want to put 60mm piping on your S model, but it would technically fit. So they list it for the VTEC model, but I've never seen another one and I know for a fact that you can put an sp2 on an SI (check youtube). So they must just only make that 60mm version and list it for the VTEC sometimes, whereas other places will list it for all models since it fits.
