There is currently a thread on sol society about these tops. It seems that someone is trying to put together a group-buy in the $585 to $500 price range.

The 1's wher im from have the auto electric roof wif the glass. They all have SOHC.. unless transplantd engine.
I dnt reali like thm cuz it makes the car heavy.. n my del sol 4 racing not show. lol..
so i would rather a beta engine tht weights less.. lol! B16A ftw!!
I think if Honda made the Del Sol with the glass top it would have sold alot more of them. The glass top is hot. Didnt the JDM CRX come with a glass top?
They actually did make a glass roof for the crx's in JDM, they called it cyberglass, I was actually about to buy one for mine, but instead decided to buy my Del Sol, best decision of my life, but now I want an Ameripol roof.

lol fuck 1grand for a used top and that group buy was in 2006 buddy.. did get ahold of john from ameripol and they are very much in business still and THEY DO still have and make the glass top for del sols... cost lil over 600 brand new for one...
Far as scratching it you dont have to worry about it.. its not actually glass.. It is a type of plastic.
They have actually demoed it trying to scratch it with steal wool and all. you would have to try really hard to scratch it... mine will be shipped this monday...

Ive descided tho once i finish the body work im gunna either
1.) Paint the hood black to tie in with the black looking top or
2.) Do a two tone paint job... Black from the bottom of the door window up and white below the door window with maybe some sort of pinstripe..
My interior is already white with black accents... so i figure adding some black would be nice and it would tie in the roof... Im also getting flat black rims too!!.. Maybe a stripe of some type down the sides of the car about mid door level.. idk just an idea... any comments ideas??

what do you mean they all have SOHC. . .del sols? if so then you would be wrong, they made 3 models of the del sol, S with an sohc d15 NON-vtec, Si d16 SOHC vtec, and VTEC with the b16 DOHC vtec, the b16 isnt a swap it was a model option, and it IS the heaviest of the 3, get your facts straight. . .yeah and like they all said its called a transtop. . .and you could only get the del sol WIF a transtop from the EDM or JDM.
transtop or not the car is still quick stock. ask kabooki

oh and TJsol that "b20 conversion" wont be crap unless you turbo it. . .i would recommend you doing that.

I skimmed over what he said, i think he is talking about the VXi, its like a low-end version of the SIR, its got transtop and all the cool stuff, just a sohc motor.

Uhhh...yea..lol almost sounds like that they dont make their roofs anymore.. Found a thread from 05 and they weren't really making them then... Have to call them to find out..
