ok so i saw a civic ex with a D16 engine with no signs of anything done besides headers and cold air but the thing had a zex nitrous kit that was supposively a 75 shot. the engine had 160k on it. how long will the engine last with the use of the nitrous?
Well I wouldn't push your luck. I love d16 engines but any engine has a breaking point and I have never heard a stock d16 to stand up to boost or nitrous very well. That's just what I have heard though, I have no experience with one on nitrous.

as long as it has good up keep, and everything is changed when it should be, you shouldn't have a problem, it should last same as with out. It all depends if you abuse it. but if it's 2-3 times a week you should be fine.
