Angry I need help!!!

OK here's the deal i finally got tired of DSM's and i switched over to honda's i know everything about 3000GT's and talons and eclipses but i know nohing of Honda's. I bought this honda del sol from this guy that installed a D16z6 engine and converted it from auto to stick but he messed up royally. I so far replaced the cv joints becaues the bearing were completely destroyed but the major problem is the fact that when u hit the gas the car sputters and then dies. It idles fine but when u try to drive it u hit the gas and like i said it sputters and loses all power....does anyone know what could be the cause of this? Could it be that he left the auto computer in it? Could it be that everything is wired wrong? Could it be the timing is slightly off? I'm at whitts end.....PLEASE HELP ;0)

wiring is the same on s and si motors minus vtec, so it's should be your timing or ecu.

Im thinking check or replace your ecu...and see if by chance he switched the plug that goes to the MAP senor on top of the Throttle with the one the goes to the TPS senor on the side.

Or maybe its not the TPS but another senor next to it...check that i rembered i did that once by mistake and that caused the same thing you said plus it gave out a strong o2 smell. lol

OMG u guys wont believe this.....i spent hours checking the wiring and almost took the engine apart untill i got the idea to change the fuel filter....upon inspecting the fuel filter i noticed the gas was orange and i thought it was mixed with water.....I decided to drain the gas tank and the gas had rust, dirt, and water mixed in it to i cleaned out the tank, sprayed carb claner inside the injectors put everything back together filled it with gas and problem was solved....man i spent sooo much time going over this car and checking the timing and everything for nothing lol Well im glad the thing runs great now thanks for the help
