I've never really been a fan of huge wings, tail light conversions [other than the S2000 conversion which is just plain stunning...] etc. I just can't get into it. Its a nice car, just too ricey for my tastes.
Honestly, there are members here that might be willing to vouch for me, that, that post above, isn't me trying to be a bitch. I'm just voicing my opinion. So, as I said, don't take it the wrong way. It's nice to see another girl who has interests other than make up, fashion, throwing up her last meal and starting gossip.

Don't be sorry, it's just an opinion. "To each his own."
For the record, I completely agree: clean cars are the way to go. I love the sleeper look. Riced out cars just don't do it for me. All del Sols need, IMHO, is rims w/ low profile rubber, a drop, and a window tint. A front lip and bigger brakes look good too (rear disc conversion if you have an S).
In my eyes, body kits, over sized wings, and after market tails only detract from the appearance.

In all honesty, I agree with you guys. I said it before, but my daily driver is a black '94 Prelude that has tinted windows, is lowered on 18s, and has nothing but a lip kit. Here's a picture about a month after I bought the Prelude, before I put my 18s on it, and the lip kit...
My husband was bored, had too much money, and too much time...so the del sol was created to compete in car shows, and at the time it was created that was what was winning car shows. We really have built every style of Honda there is...the flashy, the sleeper, the drag car, the super clean, etc. For what our del sol is, I think it's am amazing piece of work. I DEFINITELY respect other's perspectives and tastes though...what fun would this be if everyone's cars were identical ?

Nothing wrong with that; I personally like all styles of vehicles as long as they are tastefully done. There's nothing wrong with a trailer queen show car (or DD show car.) There's nothing wrong with a track beast with a beater body; everyone builds what suits their personality and style. What's important is that we can all respect each other for having a passion for cars, and not judge someone as "not worthy" just because we don't happen to agree with the route they took with their car...
That last sentence was the one that struck me the most. That's a big part of why we're a part of this culture in the first place. We love our cars, and want them to stand out from the crowd. We don't drive rare exotic cars, we drive cars that you see every day and; therefore, have to work that much harder to make our cars unique. It's always good to hear from others who espouse the same position I hold; too often it seems we are quick to judge others. I'm not innocent in that respect, I talk shit on here like everyone else; I try and do it with a sense of humor...

I agree wholeheartedly Dave. I can see potential or good in any car. I like all styles for different reasons. Where I may not agree with someone's style, I can DEFINITELY respect their effort. We've owned everything from Lexus' to a huge Ford F-350 dually that we've built to over 500hp. Cars are a passion of ours, the only aspect of which that we haven't traversed into would be classics...however I do happen to know where a '69 Camaro body is hidden among some blackberry bushes. Might just have to be our next "project"

Ahh...more pics, less banter, please.
EDIT: SolLes, awesome color choice, and the interior's pretty cool, but not my "cup of tea", as others have said. Show car cool, though, I guess.
You're "guilding the lily", IMO, minus the awesome paintjob/color.

Just bought. Trying to get on the road and fix her up. Having issues locating a tranny in my current price range. Really look forward to putting time into the car but starting to get very pessimistic about it.
