Power Door Locks
I know the 95+ Sols came with power locks, which i think is total BS. WEll either way i am curious to know how it looks like (meaning the location of the buttons of the lock/unlock). I really want power locks on my car, but im thinking what would be easier? Getting some locks from a junk yard and making them work on my car or getting those poppers( the things that pop your door open with an alarm key).
Anyone have pics of the power lock thing. thanks

door poppers would be a better deal I think...seeing how you could shave off the handles and locks...minimizing theft in a way...it's just another deterrent. I know they could still bust out your windows and all sorts of crap. but that's just another step in deterring theft. and I think it's neat :clap

I'm getting those installed with my security alarm...but I dont think I'm going to shave off the door handles. It is cool but at the same time not very practical.

So whats the point of getting door poppers if you are still going to use to handles? I mean i see not point in having the handles if the poppers open the door for you.

shaving the exterior door handle has nothing to do with the interior handle. It should still be functional...I've never heard of anyone needing to use a door popper to open the door from the inside...that's a bit retarded. All you're doing is eliminating the handle that is exposed on the outside...as well as the lock, so everything else should remain intact and operational.

I just think there might be a few circumstances where it would be easier to have handles. I know a lot of people do shave the handles off but I dunno I just think theres the possibility that at some point Id be wishing I still had handles. Its just opinion. And Im probably in the minority on this one but w/e.

I agree...I mean, if your FOB battery goes dead, for
whatever reason, it's nice to have a manual "fallback"
if you're stranded in the desert or east bumblefuck.
Question, however: can you still use the door lock with
one of these poppers?
