The reason why the car rusts like that in the finder is because trapped moisture gets in there and of course breaks it down. If your other rear fender isnt rusting yet, what you need to do as quick as possible is take the wheel off and use a small drill bit and drill a hole in the rear of the fender where it folds under the car. That will drain any water thats stuck in there and help with the rusting problem.

Now, to get your fender fixed, what they did on my civic I use to have was weld sheet metal in place of it. If you go to a good shop they will be able to do it for you with no problems, it might cost a little now but its well worth it. Also, something else you might want to consider is getting some stuff called Por15, its a paint that stops rust. My brother used it on his car, it worked great. Basically it dries the rust out and stopes it that way with an unpenatrible (sp) surface so it wont chip or split. You can find that stuff on the net or in like a high performance chevy mag.

Hope that helped. If you need more help let me know.

Late,

Paul

Its the rear fender, so you cant just get a new one. Its part of the whole car.

it happens to practically all hondas.

mechanically they run forever

but the bodies always rust out before the car dies.

Its mostly due to that stupid plastic piece on the wheel well. It traps the water in there and it stays there until it rusts out the body.

I have it pretty badly for the record.

What he meant was cut and weld a piece into the rear quarterpanel. I'll speak for him.

to get it fixed right it will cost you a lot of money, a lot.....prob close to $1000...... because they will have to spray almost half the car, cut out and weld in the sheet metal, repair/replace the bracket for the rear bumper
