Rims to wide???

im not sure but i was woundering if my rims are to wide for my car.
215/40R17/87H thats pretty much how it goes. I know thats tire info but that should also say how wide the rims is correct.

There is always going to be the chance of rubbing, but that is the price you pay for having rims. I have a 2.5 inch drop in the front, and 2.25 in the back. It only rubs if you hit a bump too hard, or if turn the wheel VERY sharp. Just try to avoid doing that, and you should be fine.

I'm not a believer in wheel spacers, I think that would make the wheel hit the fender, depending on how big the spacer is.

As for the speed, you will always do better on smaller, or stock size tires, especialy at the track, thats why people put the stock tires on when they run the car.

I believe my sol was dropped more than 2.25 and I NEVER rubbed...it was somewhere between 2.5 - 3.0 inch drop...and I rolled on 17's.
