Eclispes suck ass. They fall apart to easily and become pretty expensive to fix...I'd look for something else in the same price range

Thumbs up

Got any pics of your sol? and how much are you asking? Im really not intersted, but just want to see how your car looks. If you want the eclipse then go for it, but who says you have to sell the sol too?

Yeah that's what I was thinking...if she's offering to just out and buy you and eclipse why do you need to sell the sol?

...okay, I'm sure people will laugh, but have you looked into the 6cyl, 6speed tiburon? I loved the way I sat in it, it looked nice, and the quarter mile times it ran stock, were pretty impressive. Car & Driver did a review on it.

Now, once you laugh at that, here's another good suggestion, get a WRX or wait until the new impreza with the bigger engine comes out (very soon) and buy one of these two. You might be just as well to buy the impreza and get the upgraded suspension package.

Yet another suggestion, buy a mini cooper s. If you're serious about them, make sure you get the S, its the turboed one and puts out like 50hp +, more.

All types of mustangs n shit are in that price range too.

Buy a used, last gen., twin turboed supra

I have a couple of friends who have 3rd gen eclipse's and they love them. I love my sol, but it would just take too much money to make it even close to as fast as an eclipse. I have an automatic S. I didn't know what I was buying when I bought it three years ago. I don't have any good pics at my web page but there are a few that are ok if you want to check them out. http://home.cinci.rr.com/jlykins

I'm NOT laughing : ! Seriously, that new Tiburon's pretty
sweet, and a Mini Cooper S would be prime. I'd like the WRX
alot more if they came with a 2-door version. The Supra
suggestion is definately good too, except his grandma might
want him to get a "new" car, (some people are like that ).

oh well, car and driver had a mixed review about the tiburon, but it beet the svt focus and turboed bug and a few other things in quarter mile and such.

I just loved the way i sat in it, its closely related to how you sit in the del sol, i believe.

I know that it's not the fastet car, but it is a lot faster than even a sol with a swap, unless it has nos, turbo, or supercharger. I really just want a new car if you want to know the truth. I like the way the Eclipse looks, and it has decent power, but if anyone has any other suggestions, for around 20 g's or less I am willing to take advice.

I like the tiburon, they look really agressive now, and have a sleek look, and dont they have a 6spd now? Well whatever you do...Just keep in mind, if you sell the sol, you cant come back to the forum...EVER!!! JK...Good luck with your car deciding, and just do what you want to do, to make yourself happy.

Forget the eclipse. Wait for the Evolution 8 to come out next year. Or get yourself a WRX. New Tibby's look pretty tight, I'd much rather have that over the Eclipse. Get a 2nd gen GST or GSX if you want an eclipse

I agree with all his choices. Why do you want a new Eclipse?
That door "molding" shit looks like crap! A VW Golf VR6 is
like $23,000 "list". Awesome power/German craftsmanship.
