I have a set of 16" OZ Ultraleggera on mine, with 205/45/R16 Yokohama Parada Spec2 shoes.Luv it.16" should be the largest size on your sol with lower profile tires IMO.Don't forget this is a car tha came with 14" OEM.Take a look on the pics thread page 40.Too bored to post it now.cya...

How do 16s and 17s corner better than say 15s? If the 15s are lighter, which almost all of them are, then then they will provide more of an advantage than 17s.

Couple things:
Bigger rims are heavier, but the tires that go around them are actually lighter due to being low profile tires. The total weight is still greater with the larger wheels, but the difference in performance is marginal.
Increasing the size of the wheels and using lower profile tires can improve cornering somewhat, because having less rubber means that the tires don't flex as much as you press them into hard turns (sidewall is stiffer).
The choice really boils down to your stylistic preference. On the del Sol, I vastly prefer the 17" wheels due to nothing more than aesthetics.

Dude, you have the most gorgeous del Sol I have seen on here, and in real life both. I would trade you a vital organ to have that, nice wheels as well, 15's for me and 16's ftw!

Mods: Skyline engine, 6 disc cd changer, A/C, Fuzzy dice
You should check out these 12's I put on my Tata Nano, they're made by Agasawi Rims, I know they may be hard to get in the U.S. but well worth the money.
I think they'd make your sol look almost as good as my Nano.
