Thats the shitty part about people. If they really want to steal something there is nothing that will stop them. Sure an alarm is a great deterent for most people but the fact is that alarms go off all the time and no one even thinks twice about it. Also the alarm does stop someone from breaking a window, and for a del sol the stereo is an arm width inside so you might not even need to get in side the car. I had my stereo stolen so what I did was hit up the hard ware store for hex head bolts with the stud in the center, that way at least there is more work involved. I also added extra bolts through the side of the stereo cage into the stereo so it won't just slide out. I hope that the amount of extra work is just to much and someone will say F*** this, or someone will notice.

Sorry to hear that man, my 1993 Del Sol was stolen this year while I was deployed to Iraq. Fortunately car was found, but repairs did set me back $900.
