I have an extra pair of the clear with chrome back and extra pair of the stock ones. Can never make up my mind what tail lights I want. I can post some pics of the clear/chrome for you. Just to see if those are the ones you are talking about at all.
I'll try to put them up tonight or tomorrow.

its really not that hard to do what you want to do to the altezzas. i did the same thing to my car and they turned out perfect. the only thing i did different is that i put the housing back on. it didn't cost me a thing to get them done either. i took the housing off myself and sanded the chrome down. i took them to the shop that painted my car and they painted them for free. here is a pic of it.

i used a hair dryer to heat up the glue to pull the cover off. i also pulled the red lenses out. i did use clear silicon to reseal the red lenses and the housing. it looks harder than it is. i was told by a custom shop that it couldn't be done and i did it easily. let me know if you need more help.

just when you take your car in to get painted, have the taillight covers off and sanded. ask them to paint them for you. they shouldn't charge you any more. most places won't charge because they are already painting. but make sure they clear coat over the paint.
