Photoshop refresher

Well... it's been a little while since this sub-forum has had any action and I'm back down to 1 job so, I actually have time now. Why not try to breathe some life into this flat line sub-forum. I'm not going to try to start a contest because I'm not good at arranging things like that and, for now, there may not be much interest. What this is, is basically a common project for anyone who's interested to just either chop till your heart is content or just to doink around with the image. Maybe exchange Photoshop tips or whatever.

If this sub-forum gets buzzing again, maybe we can request the moderator to open up a new photoshop contest?

If there's no interest then... whatever, you guys can all just flame my chop.. either way, I'm entertained. :-p

Here's the subject(click the image to super-size):

The blue is very nice... I haven't really messed with it too much because, I'm working the whole weekend and... umm... I might have just picked up CoD4:MW

I'll be working on it more tomorrow most likely.

civic_x_95... that's cool. The interest is much appreciated. When you do get your new lappy, I'm sure there will be a new project to see what you can do Photoshop R' fun for me

As for your current rig... have you tried running 'Gimp'? It's an open source photo software (totally free) and it seems a little lighter than photoshop. I personally find it hard to work with because I'm so used to photoshop but it's definitely worth a look, IMO. You can find it on portableapps.com to run off usb

I kept it a simple chop, nothing crazy.

Mods:
Color changed
Wheels changed along with a drift stance
Rendered and darkened the headlights and lit the floor up to make it as if the headlights are really on
Darkened background to make it look more night
Carbon fiber hood
Tried to do a turbo kit but eh, ionno. it sucks.
Evo 9 front bumper
Black wing
Removed mirror
Tinted windows
Tried to do a widebody kit...
Intercooler
Removed antenna
Custom grill (had to make one because the evo bumper didn't fit right)
Eye lids

Edit: forgot to mention, radial blur on the wheels, so that blur is suppose to be there.

Edit 2: had to airbrush the whole front bumper because it was such a pain in the ass to blend so i said fuck it and painted the whole thing by hand.

thats it.

Already uploaded before I remembered about the rear tire thingy but, whatevers. I liked the body over all. 350z headlamps, full lower grille to replace partial with plate, air intake in upper grille, new wheels(dunno what kind but, they were on a Supra),slightly modified spoiler and fender accent thingy.

Not much but, I'm pleased with it, for a quickie.

That's cool. This shouldn't deter anyone else from chopping though. It's all in good fun.
