i seriously doubt that the z28 will make it into production and if it does i don't think it will have the lsa that everyone seems to think it will, but even if it does ford already has a compeditor for the z28 its called the gt500

thats nice but it still has nothing to do with camaros always being a step ahead of mustangs.
they weren't always ahead ford and GM have been going back and forth for decades trading off who's on top look at the late 80s. the new GT500 is where it's at though 540 HP FTMFW

well if you like at the price tag on the GT500 52k (just MSRP) a z06 could be had and is faster.
not sure what kinda people will be dropping that kinda $$ on a mustang when you could have the vette. I've yet to even see a new GT500 on the streets.
where are you getting your info from the 2010 gt500 msrp is $46,325 the 09 z06 is $74,875. the zo6 has 505 HP where the GT500 has 540 the z06 only wins in the weight category weighing 3222 bls where the GT500 is 3920 lbs estimated and the gearing and live rear axel of the GT500 will most likely put it on par with the z06s when it comes to 1/4 mile times, i'm only using that because well let's be realistic the mustang has always been a strait line monster and most of the racing they would see outside of the drag strip would be stop light racing so bang for your buck the mustang definitely wins over the Z06

just surfing around they had anywhere between 46 and 52... not really sure why so i figured 52 was fully decked out.... but why wouldn't a GT500 be already decked out.
as far as the weight goes for every 100lbs you add you lose about 10hp.
the mustang is 698lbs over the vette so that means its down 70hp vs the vette.. so its 505 vs 470 head to head

true but imagine the mods you could do with the extra $22K+ you would save by not buying the vette

there is no mathmatical racing, horsepower is horsepower, even if the mustang didn't prevail 0-60 time or 1/4 mile time, it would trap higher speeds and we all know what that means when your on a mexican freeway
but lets just squash it, the mustang and the camaro (and since the vette made its way into the mix, the vette as well) are good cars that are different for the different people that drive them
