From the link u posted

yes, powerful enough to qualify as a muscle car. but HP ratings aren't what defines the class.

of fking please do you wanna bust out some engine weights?

how come the LS1 is lighter then the RX7's engine? is its cause its a big heavy v8?

Haha...dont get your panties in a knot. Most V8's are heavier than 4 cylinder cars. Thats a no brainer. Who cares about comparing one V8 engine to a Rotary. An RX7 doesnt have pistons you putz...why would you compare them its a fucken ROTOR!!!

Do you wanna bust out the track times of an RX7 vs an LS1?

Bottom line is an RX7 is lighter than a Camaro with an LS1...Probably 500-600 pounds lighter. Also an RX7 will beat the shit out of an LS1 on the track

BTW Most Muscle Cars are gas guzzlers...they arent practical and when you compare all of the specs to a compact they are always outweighed. If you have money to burn then by all means but the majority of the population is looking to save as much as they can on gas prices since they are fucking through the roof.

I thought we were talking about engine weight? not automobile weight.

The Viper and the new GTR are the only cars i know of that are slapped with the "gas guzzler" brand.

3.6 Litre GTR...hardly. I cant help it if you have a heavy foot.

Either way if we were to compare the Rotary RX7 with the LS1 its like apples and oranges. Like I said before the rx7 doesnt use pistons...its a totally different class in itself.

Either way I choose reliability over sheer power.

I cant help the fact that those pin heads are giving it gas guzzler tax. Fact is the 7.0 Vette will empty your pockets quicker than the GT-R. I still take the GT-R at the end of the day. BTW I love the Corvette so I am not biased. I would buy one if I was a Millionaire.

it gets the gas guzzler tax cause it gets shitty MPG, not cause some "pin head" just did it for the hell of it.

no its not some conspiracy against the GTR.

That is why the viper gets that tax as well, Fact is it burns gas like its going outa style. They don't hand out that title for shits.

have you even looked up the 7.0L numbers? they are WELL above gas guzzler status

http://www.epa.gov/fueleconomy/guzzler/index.htm

your honda s2000 is even on that list, but not the 7.0L V8.

you dont drive a car with only the engine. i get your point... on it being heavier, but its the cars balance and ratio with the engine weight included, not with it not included. ofcourse you can do a swap but that would fuck up the car's balance....
