so a stock 3800 lb 11.8 1/4 touring car vs. a 2200 lb built boosted ek type r hatch....... does civic even handle anymore with all of that power going to the front wheels?

That's what I'm talking about. I love seeing kills like that. Fuck handling who the hell wants a civic for handling anyway. If you want some thing that handles get a porsche. And even then that shoe box civic with 580+ HP will beat the shit out of it. They built that car to embarrass people plain and simple not to go around a track

an ecu? wow it moved the redline from 8400 to 8500 craaazy.

anyone can build a car a beat a faster factory car. just because it had a slightly more aggressive ecu and exhaust doesnt mean anything at all. it wasn't fair.

Wow, a Civic isn't meant for handling (I mean it's no Miata or other type of touring car/roadster, but come on)? Why else own one? If I wanted a drag/dyno queen I would buy a f*ckin fox-body 'Stang, LS1 FC, or better yet something retarded like a LS1 Chevette or Fiero and boost the piss out of it...Civic's are fun because they handle good, they're light, good platforms to mod, and relatively cheap...

Honda's are really cheap to mod. You can pick up a Honda for about $1500, put about 4k in it and beat pretty much anything. You could buy that r35 for like ~70k give or take, and modding it is ridiculous! Costs way more to mod a skyline than a civic. Like this video for example, im sure price to speed ratio is ridiculous. The ITR cost probably about 1/3 of that skyline, and smoked it. Now I know that its modified vs stock, but damn if you ask me that is pretty impressive.
