I dont like Z06 either but I can out run them every time they step up to the plate it's not easy and I wont dare get on the highway with one, so I have to give them respect it takes alot to out run one, and the GT-R ain't got it. The GT-R is a maintenance problem waiting to happen on top of the that.

2. it's not just about how much power you put it out. it's putting it to the ground. and research before you start talking about boosting an ls7. do you know why chevy is going to an ls3 based 6.8 liter with boost over boosting the ls7 for the zr1. because even chevy knows better than to throw lots of boost at the ls7. so your throwing twin snails at the z06 went out the window
3. the gtr is a luxury touring car that outperforms even porsches. how is the z06 best bang for buck? you get more bells and whistles with the gtr, with better performance and it can be driven in worse weather conditions.
4. it puts down 430whp the z06 puts down about 450whp to two less wheels. have you even read any of the testing don one the r35? two seperate magazines have pulled 0-60 times atleast 2 tenths of a 2nd faster than a z06. and it weighs about 700 lbs more than the z06.
5. how is the gtr a maintance problem waiting to happen? you don't think that for 70K it won't have a really nice warranty? and are you really calling nissan a maintance issue in regards to chevy?

i wanted to add my two cents into this conversation. i really hate to say it but the z06 would win in a modded heads up. i fucking hate chevy's but everyone is missing a very big problem. right now in japan the gt-r has a cute little black box in it that datalogs all driving that takes place and moniters all systems. nissan wont tell where it is but this is a fact. now then. there r only 3 shops in all of japan authorized to works on one and if you so much as change the filter, you warrantee on that 70k car is voided.
if you drive the cars under hard g's the car will ask you if u wanna go into curcut mode disabling the speed govenor(yes it has one), if you select yes your warrantee is gone. when you buy the car you have to, in order to leave the lot the owner, sign a written contract saying that you will not modify the car or your warrantee is fucked

2. you don't get a gtr to just be fast. the gtr is a "grand touring car" for multiple conditions. it's a fully loaded awd luxury sports car. In now way did they cut costs with it. you haven't listed one real fact in any of your arguments
3.how do you know it won't pass emissions once you mod it? you think your twin turbo suggestion on an ls7 would pass emissions? and of course parts for the gtr will be expensive at first. it's a brand new gtr completely different from any other in the past. and why do we care about emissions when we tune our cars past being safe to begin with. you think that civic in the video would pass emissions

6. why are you even trying to bring modding cars into this to begin with? any car will beat any car with teh right amount of money and face stock for stock the gtr beats the z06 hands down in price and features. multiple test have been done on the two and right now the z06 gets edged out stock for stock
