like i said i will do some checkin when i get home, but i know that the JUN supra did 294mph and is still street legal, not to mention numerous Signal auto skylines that are pushing 1000hp....i am by no means sayin that corvette is garbage, but to me its no big deal

There's no need to check. Not even that 6-second street car would be able to top out at 300 mph.
Think about it. We would all agree that 200 mph is really fucking fast for a street car, and most cars that reach that kind of speed are churning out at least 500 bhp. Now, in order to reach 300 mph, that same car that went 200 mph with 500 bhp will now need to generate at least 1700 bhp. Aerodynamic force increases as the square of velocity, so at high speed a small increase in speed requires a LARGE increase in power. Do you really think that JUN Supra is making 1700 bhp?

ok it went 249.982mph at the salt flats and it is STREET LEGAL
