ZR1 is gonna be a great car and a great value for what it is. However so is the GTR. Compared to porsches and ferraris you're getting a really good deal. I think we should just be amazed at how far cars have come instead of trying to pick an imports vs. domestics fight. they are both special cars.
To a point, you have yo have some who is better. Come on, it is fun arguing for your side. Admit it. But like I said to a point. But one will be better than the other though.

Ill wait to see TOP GEAR review it. Personally tho i'm leanin towards the GTR because of its aftermarket support. i'm excited to see how MINES and other tuner shops will tune it.

Its nicer
And most importantly....It will last longer, and have a MUCH MUCH higher resale value.
you can't compare a base gtr to a zr1. there will be an vspec gtr which is what you should really compare the zr1 to. and it will weigh 300lbs+ less than a regular gtr with atleast 60-80 more ponies. now what does this dumbshit have to say. the regular gtr weighs around 3800 lbs and is pretty much a luxury car and you can drive it in thw snow. makes less power and outperforms the z06. so i fail to see what point this moron bashing the gtr even has
Who the fu-k would pay 90k for a GTR? the imports are way 2 much $$$,$$$ for what u get. they mite kick ass on the track (road course) but who cares, most are ran at street lights, highway rolls or strip.
i would pick vette C6-Z06-ZR1 over a GTR any day (around the same price range) imo
And a NSX is what 300+hp hahahaha. i guess that gives u a exceuse when u loose a race. u can say u had a passanger that weighted 220lb(camera man)
and btw how much did it cost?
I think your really underestimating the premium that ford is going to be selling these "super cobra's" for. I guarantee you noone will be able to pick one of these things up for under 65k. Who would want to pay that if for 10 grand more u can spend ur money on a proper super car like a Z06 or a GTR. And if your saying the GTR is overpriced just look at its main competition the Porsche 911 Turbo. Its about 60k cheaper than the porsche and outperforms it in nearly every aspect. As for the Z06 it's an incredible car and is truly an engineering marvel. But until the ZR1 comes out im gonna hav to say the GTR just muscled it out of its top spot as the most economical supercar.

i can't wait till the vspec for the gtr is out. look at the numbers it pulls now and it weights 3800 lbs. the vspec is supposed to lose 300 lbs or more and gain another 60-80 hp. no to mention have attesa tweaks and suspension tweaks. the only replacement for displacement is technology and the gtr has always had it
so what do you say to the majority here that goes along with the
americans can't build cars
american cars = shit
mindset.
if they are americans...arn't they just indirectly dissing themselves?
to some extent, i do agree with you. we cant keep saying american cars sucks because thats just disgracing our own economy. but we can say that japanese engineering is really fucking good, and so is german!!! i think we should step it up some more and hopefully get back our economy back.
