Ya'll can debate all you want, but the bottom line is that Shelby himself said the car could handle, and LOOK AT THE OVERSTEER!!! Even at Americans' peak performance, they're still several steps behind imports, especially in handling/reliability/appearance/feel/quality.....shit EVERYTHING. Sorry to admit it, as I am too a proud American, but when it comes to cars, we should just call it quits. Now Trucks? We had that in the bag until the new Tundra came along...so yeh, we're officially bottom of the barrel all-around

there is no such thing as american an import. they build their cars here and we build ours there. not to mention they share technology on multiple cars. the cobalt is an american/japanese/toyota configuration. hell you can buy trd parts for your cavalier. mazda and fords are a mixture as well. this is like bi-racial people arguing about ethnicity

well i think carroll shelby is doing what any person would do to defend his own his comment was not cocky at all its just a simple thing called sticking to the one u love. now don't get me wrong i am not biased but america does have great cars to brag about from th zo6 to the ford gt to the undisputed saleen s7tt and they are all a fraction the price of their competition.
