The horn is weak but sounds like something you'd find overseas.
Maybe the locals don't recognize the sound of a Humvee horn.
A siren would be just as helpful as flashing lites. Snipers would
love a visual / audible aid to kill American soldiers. The pedestrians and
civilian drivers see and hear the bigass humvee coming. They just
don't give a fugg! That's the way it is.....thus you get a tap. I thought
the driver was more than courteous by braking before tapping. If it
matters I'm against the war but I believe in protecting our soldiers.
I dare anyone that's honest with themselves to say they'd react differently
in that situation.

Clearly they were in a hurry to get somewhere, you can tell by the sense of urgency in their voice. It's funny how there is such a bunch of military haters on these forums....it's ridiculous.

man-o-man let me say something about this. in iraq hell most third world countries for that matter. there are no traffic laws, more than 3/4 of these people don't know what the heck a stop sign is or even care for that matter. its all about getting where they are going. back in the beginning of the war they would pull over or get off the road just casue we would open fire on them. now we have a stupid roe that prevents us from doing anything like that and these people take advantage of that. i am in iraq right now on my second year plus tour. if you guys wanna stop long enough for people to get out of the way then come over here and do so but i won't be in the damned humvee with you. thats foolish. just the other day on a routine patrol a guy ran up and tried to drop a grenade down in behind the spare tire and luckly it fell out and blew him the fuck up. and they were stopped for two minutes.
