The F1 set it's record on a straight line track also, and this was set on an oval (if it's the one I'm thinking of, haven't watched the movie yet) they expect it could get over 245 on the same track that the F1 used.
i heard the mclaren accelerates faster after 100mph than an actual F1 car, also doesnt it get like 0-200 in like 30 seconds or something like that???

ummmm, no. a mclaren weighs about 2500ish pounds and has 627 hp. an F1 car weighs about 1500-1800 lbs & has 700-900 hp and has 7 speed gearbox. you do the math.
