ok heres the deal!

how much is the resale value for a used mustang gt or even cobra? and how much the resale value for a used teg type r? i bet type R is more expensive. u know how they base the resale value? coz of its durability and efficiency. V8s r nuttin but gas guzzlers while itr gets more than half more MPG than rustang 5.slows. id say mustang are cheap cars in the long run? just compare the resale value and youll see the big difference! hondas = build for (not ford) tough! id say honda should use that slogan! ford = built for dumbs, dumb enough to waste their gas on V8s and lose!! my friend had brand new rustang 5.slow and hes not happy with it! things keep breaking like whoaa! and he spent 20 bucks every other day for gas like whoaaa! V8 piece of shit! ive seen 99 mustang GT for sale for only 7000 bucks? how cheap is that? r they built ford tough? fuckin piece of shit!

hey beemrmem3 what the fuck r u doing here? r building a honda vtec to replace ur 5.slow or something?

if they don't run circles around cars not even close to their price range i would follow them to the gas station and bitch slap the owner
Doesn't stop you guys from quoting overpriced supras, porsches, and skylines. Domestics go far beyond you typical mustang/camaro's as well.

Okay. You want performance on a budget?

z28/formula/GT - $23k
320-340hp 4.6L mach 1 - $27k

For the price they're hard to beat.

As for the vipers and z06's, what cars in their price range beats them? not one that i could think of. Gotta respect them for that.

sl33per, take your medicine and calm the fuck down. You did not find a 99 GT for 7 grand. I know because dealers were quoting 94/95 GT's at 8-9 grand. I got my 94 GT from a private party last year for 7.2grand with 77k miles. If you did, it was either salvaged, wrecked, or damaged in some way.

You want resale? try finding a clean 93 cobra for under 10 grand. 10 years old and still worth over 50% of the original msrp. I've seen them go for as high as 15 grand depending on mileage. Clean 94/95 cobras are still going for double digits. I don't even want to talk about Saleens, BOSS's, Mach 1's, Shelby's, and the like. Another thing, look at 10-30 years from now. Which would be worth more? which would be considered a collectible? That shitty Ford just may end up being the better investment.

i'm still waiting to see and hear this video...i'm still using 56k

but this just turned into the typical flame war...we all know it

once someone says shit everyone knows about the hp/liter...then it just continues like any other flame.

this sucks

people just have a hard time understanding that cars have different markets. some people just like v8s...some people like high spinning 4cyls.
the whole bullshit about the hp/liter...it costs money to do that. anyone who has an engine doing 100+ hp/liter paid a shit load for that engine. look at your cars people...civic Si...basically a 12k econo box...some upgraded suspension parts from the acura integra...engine from an integra..and some new paint.

you're not getting something revolutionary people...companies have been doing it forever

after you toss a lit match into the gas tank of any of those cars there won't be shit to argue about....well most of you are out to prove something to each other or yourselve's..so you'd most likely end up in a " Which car burned longer/hotter " arguement... give it up ..honestly who gives a fuck..every car has its pros and cons..this thread is :

Sl33per, you dont know how stupid you sound. Rustang, 5.slow. Why you sure are creative. Cobra Resale values a very good. And so are other Mustangs. You need to get your facts straight. You say shit that just makes you sound like you dont know what yoru talking about. Half of what you said didnt make sense even. Ive had not one problem with this car. Ive had 4 imported cars before too. And they have all had problems. I drive my cars hard, and my stang has held up perfect compared to my BMW, 2 Talons, and integra. Its by far the best car ive owned. I still like imports. Id just rather have a stang right now. Also, no stock saleen has ever been slower then any stock civic. Your friend must have got a really messed up saleen, or a crazy modded civic. You probably think Si's run low 14s stock. I need to stop before i get to angry.

PS. I get 21mpg. If a Civic had 260hp i dont think it would be getting much better. You need to learn some shit before you run your mouth.

i don't think you are getting are point and you obviously aren't thinking about how stupid you look in this forum

We obviously think mustangs are CRAP... so the least you can do is respect our opinion and we will respect your opinion regardless of who is wrong and who is right because it is all about perspective.

ok now please run back to your mustang cubbyhole please cuz this topic is REALLY getting old and you have shown your lack of knowledge about hondas.

After watching that vid, there's nothing on there that shows the 5.0 was actually racing. I'm not saying he'd have won, because he might have well been stock. A built turbo civic could easily beat a stock 5.0 or even one with mild bolts ons. But it looks like the civic got the early jump and basically made up bus lengths in a matter of a second. It didn't look like the 5.0 guy was on it. She'd have to be driving an 11 second car atleast to even pull on a stock 5.0 like that.

just my .02 cents.

needfaspeedsi, trust me. "Some" (and not all) of beemrmem3 arguments actually hold water. It would have been a little more constructive if he'd have come on a little less aggressive, but it's just him getting defensive on his part.

You want him to respect your opinion on mustangs beings crap but won't respect his:. That sound the least bit hypocritical to you?

I'm done with this topic.

Ok, bottom line. Domestic cars are faster. But imports get better gas mileage, which is better for getting the groceries. HeHe

It's because the V8 Mustang is the yardstick for affordable performance. A 5 speed 92 LX notchback N/A 5.0 will run mid to high 13's with nothing more than 14 degrees base timing, a short belt, and sticky tires. From my experience with even the best 4 cylinder imports, they don't do that naturally aspirated in essentially showroom stock condition unless they cost over $30K.

By the way, I too was let on to this site from people on a Mustang board. I'm not going to bash anyone. I'm here to learn. My car will show 99% of the import cars on the road it's tail light, but there are the select few that have turned up the boost or NOx and will walk me. Don't think we all are trolling tools. Cars are made to be modified. I just choose the cheaper domestic route.
