Save Videos: Better performance , play forever
To help you out, download video clips by right mouse clicking a link and hitting save target as. This will help those who have choppy video playback , as well you can play over and over without using up bandwidth resources.
-- Also store these videos in your kazaa or winmx folders to further help the internet enjoy these. After you get around 600mb worth , burn it to CD and store as an archive. You never know when that computer might wipe and you loose all your fav videos.
Posting Videos: Video Hosts
If you want to post a video , please a lot of videos are already online. Do a search first to see if your video is here. Next if not , you might be able to request that it be put up. If you found it at a certain location notify mike_sho or any moderator and they will place it online for you.
-- Do not always just link to video files. Unless you know the server is very reliable. A lot of the time they will go offline as superhonda uses a lot of resources. This is why its best to notify a mod of the video beforehand so it can be placed on a reliable host.
Upload Videos: NEW!!
If you have an amazing video you have to share. You can now send it to rcxorg@yahoo.com , it has to be under 10 megs in size. Please dont send too many videos at once. 1-2 max per person per day. This isnt an instant service, I review these and post them when I can. We will see how this goes.

I thought I'd add for anyone with a slow internet connection such as 56K users or even some cable/dsl users with bad service, should go and download a program such as Download Accelerator or Go! Zilla. These are programs that resume downloading even if you accidently get disconnected from the internet. These programs will also let you enqueue movies, music any type of downloadable file, so that after one song is done the next will start automatically.
So if you like to download some of the bigger files, but just can't get 100 MB done in the limited internet time, then I would just put it in some kind of downloading program and let it download. If you have to leave, then you can always resume it at another time you're connected to the web.
How do you know if a vid is or is not infected with a virus? Most of the vids I just read teh replies to see if it's worth DL'ing, but some have no replies and I am just wondering about the whole virus thing.

Why would we link to a virus. As well I dont think they are spread that form. Normally they are an .exe or other weird files that normally dont look like a video.

from what i do believe...viruses or more less..trojans can infect another persons computer through videos...i know that videos can carry viruses...but rare i think
a virus in a video form that opens up in a media player is a concept that i have never heard of. if it is real that is crazy. so you are playing a video file and have no idea that it contains malicious code.
If you can play the file then it generally is not a virus. If you have antivirus running when you are downloading is a big help.

how bout those video's that you right click to download to your hd but they only save the link and not the file itself. Is there another way around it?
