Car: 1991 Acura Integra
Mods: Jdm b16 swap, Dc 4-2-1 headers, skunk2 pro-series intake manifold, fidanza flywheel,stage1 exedy clutch, bored, port & polished throttle to ITR specs, Greddy timing belt, mugen thermostat,AEM CAI,
JohnnyVtec is an unknown quantity at this point
Can a 91 jdm b16 go in a 91 integra legally?

Please someone from cali tell me they have got this swap smogged or ref approved!!! Ive read all 14 pages of that Cali smog sticky and some say no cuz it was never offered that year here in the states, someone said they had called the smog ref and said a 91 jdm 16 could go in a 91 crx, which would be close enuff to my swapp?
Anyone know with out a shadow of doubt what the true answer is??

I know my stock engine and the jdm are both OBD0
Both engines are pretty similar
if i just went to a smog shop and didnt say anything would my car pass??
Should i go to the ref and get that sticker?

Anyone with some prior experience?
or know anyone with this swap legit??

if it's OBD0 and the same year then you should be good.
you're gonna have to swap the Intake Manifold, Exhaust Manifold, add Charcoal canister, and use USDM ECU.

youll be fine, as long as there the same OBD Generation or newer engine that your puttin in your car its legit and well pass smog fine.

I put a B16A SIR II OBD1 in my 98 Civic DX awhile back which was OBD II and did the OBD I to II conversion the B16 and it passed without any trouble.

there is no obd0 b16 in the US i think. you may have to upgrade to obd1 to pass.
