need some help with car lots/dealerships
Ok as you may or may not, I was only suppose to be in Cali til August, working contract work at a local hospital. Well lately ive been getting harassed terribly by burbank police due to me having a job (they know it too) and wanting me to have my car tags and license (which happen to be GA) switched to CA tags and license. Well I tried explaining this to them, and they are really pushing the issue. This is the first time in Cali that I have had this problem. so im considering just staying if they are going to press the issue and wont let me keep my tags. No sense in paying all that money just to have to switch back in a few months.
So here is the problem.....
If I do switch, my car wont pass smog, I already know that, and I dont have the time to fix it, nor do I have the drive to fix it anymore. (I bought a truck but had to leave it back home, but I dont want to drive it out here, due to putting all those miles on it, and its too big to drive around in a traffic filled city.) So Im going to sell it, and just take the money and buy a not so new car out here. Something small-medium.
Only thing, is that I have no idea in so cal, who is a fake and will rip you off. So I need to know what dealerships/car lots are genuine out here. I want someone who has decent customer service. I dont want a strict-"we only carry bmw, lexus, or mercedez" dealerships. I hate those cars, ill go there if they have other cars for sale though.
Any recommendations?
