acura jdm engine swap

so i have a 2000 1.6el and as the subject says, i'd like to throw a jdm engine in it. as most know, el is pretty much a civic so im curious if anyone would know if it's possible to put a jdm honda engine in, and if it uses the same mounts, etc. and if so, if anyone knows which would be the best to put in.

thanks for the help

It is completely possible.
First you have to ask yourself
what do you want out of your car?
Do you want to lap, AutoX or silly old
drag racing lol. For any of these I
personally suggest the B20Z, it's not
"JDM" but it has a butt-load of torque
for an amazing price. You can go two
routes with the B20, you can leave it
Non-vtec and rock it that styles. Or you
can throw any one of the cornucopia of
B series vtec heads (B16A, B18C5 or B18C $$$)
and make both great low and top end power.
With either of these go with the B16
trans, you'll rev pretty high on the freeway
but you could cure this with an LS 5th.

Well that's about all I have to say lol.
Hope it helped.

P.S 1.6 Els are money.

1.6EL = '96-'99 civic for motor swapping purposes, all the info you need has been posted thousands of times already, get reading, and have fun!

I'm currently piecing together my B20b swap with GSR 1-4, LS 5th, 4.4FD, & ITR LSD, should be fun.
