3 setups,1 car,who wins?
Quick question: Theres three B16 Civics all with 225whp, each has a different setup, (N/A,Turbo, and Supercharger). Which one will win in the 1/4mile? and could you explain why, in short general facts.
BTW, the torque is relative to the application.

well i'd say the all motor ,even though the sc car would have the the power right away like the na car.the na car has a lot of internals mabe even a exhaust and stuff while the sc car would probally just have a few minor things. as for the other car turbo lag is a bitch.

Either the turbo or S/c application i would think with the N/A motor coming in last just because it won't have as broad a powerband and as good a tq curve as the F/I cars.

the other cars don't compare, the s/c makes the most lowdown torque, the turbo car will have lag, and the n/a car won't have as broad of a powerband

but it depends if its manual or not.
cuz if it is it might also depend on the shifting skills.

see what i mean

So am I safe to assume that with everything at a constant, ie; driver, car, engine, track conditions, etc. The supercharger will win?
P.S. but I am gonna agree N/A > all

there's no way in hell the N/A car is gonna make anywhere near as much low down torque as the S/c'd car -- S/c > Turbo-N/A

guys we are assuming that there are no variables. so hp and tq numbers are the same. yea a supercharger would win out off all three b/c of tq. but were assuming all numbers are the same. so like i said before my money is on the na.

With the same driver, driving equally each time the N/A will always win. The low-down torque is just gonna cause wheelspin.

the s/c car is gonna have more torque through the entire powerband, not just off the line
