i was looking around in CL and i saw this 71 Buick riviera GS for those of you to lazy to click the link it's a 71 Buick Riviera Gran Sport with a 250 stock HP 455 big block in it i know the 455 is being restricted as all hell by the intake exhaust etc. i was just wondering would you sell an already modified fox body Mustang for this. just wondering if it's worth it.
Mods: Type R style headlights, Si fogs, 17x7 rims, Type R lip and grill (goin back to stock grill soon,) Password:JDM wrinkle black rear strut bar, full custom stereo, Password:JDM CF/Kevlar intake, F2 Type 1 Coilovers, up next: Benen tri-point front strut bar, rear sway bar, ASR subframe brace, new rear LCAs
Hell no, not me. I happen to love the 87-93 Fox body, so I'm kinda biased. But seriously, that Riviera has to weigh over 4000 lbs. Plus, you've already put in a good amount of work on the Mustang, haven't you? It's not that I don't think the Riviera could look cool, and definitely be unique...just don't know if it would be worth the money/hassle. Depends on what you want too - a sleek cruiser or a mean drag machine...

well i was thinking fox bodies are (unfortunatly) a dime a dozen you can look in Craig'slist and find one at any given time for $2500 or less but it's not every day you find a $100 Grand Sport but i do love my fox body
P.S. yes it weighs a lot (4500 lbs.) but it does have a 7.5 Liter engine in it that should be easy as hell to make 5-600 HP with just bolt ons

Dude, the ad says $1400. If you talked him down to $100, then why not get it and keep the Stang. I love the idea of having something unique too; I especially like the shape of the rear window coming off the roof and the how the trunk flows with it into the rear bumper. I love old school muscle cars and cruisers almost as much as I do imports. I feel what you're saying about the fox body being a dime a dozen, but they're going to end up being a classic too in my opinion. All I can say is if you pick up the Riviera, post some pics of that bitch so we can see it's progress

will do the big decider will be the condition and how it runs according to the seller it has some rust in the trunk needs interior work (so does my mustang so not a big deal) and has a dent on the drivers rear fender so hopefully not a big project just enough to keep me busy
Hell yeah...that "boat-tail" look is awesome.
A friend of mine owned one, and it IS a whale, though.
I guess you could improve the handling. Nice interior,
(for a car of that era). $1400.00's not that hard to scape
up; get a loan?
