Apexi I-Moni (Digi Display).

This afternoon Rena at Signal Auto got my order in for an Apexi "I-moni" display. I guess that's kinda a slangy japanese pun for "good monitor" .

Anyhow... it's made for 96 and up cars with OBD-II ECU's. It's really a no-brainer. You plug the cord into the diagnostic port and the monitor takes readings directly from your ECU for:

1. RPM's
2. Speed
3. Battery voltage
4. Air intake temp.
5. Water temp.

You can also toggle the display between KPH/MPH and also C/F for the temperature readings.

Other features include memory for peak outputs, and also the ability to change the speed of the lcd display.

Not anything too sophisticated, considering you only can read one attribute at a time, etc. But taking into account the ease of install and the somewhat modest price for an Apexi product (retails for something like $249, but can be found much lower) it was an OK purchase.

It also comes with a cig. lighter adaptor, in case your car doesn't provide enough juice from the ECU to power the display. Luckily for me Honda built it right and I didn't need to use it. :w00t

Here's the doggie gaurding the box while I ate my dinner.
