I thought about this a while ago but didn't know how to make it work or if it could, then I found out that on my friend's new STi that it has it from the factory. When you accelerate hard it automatically shuts off the A/C compressor and turns it back on a few seconds after you let off. (Best of both worlds, comfort without power loss?) Has anyone tried to make something like this work on a car that didn't come with it?

Got it with Rage wheels, DC Sports 4-1 header, K&N filter (resonator removed), and MOMO pedals. Rest is stock, for now....
Update: Installed Kenwood eXcelon head unit, Pioneer speakers front and back, Rockford Fosgate amp and Kicker Solobaric sub
My other Car, 2001 White Odyssey EX (family hauler)
Stock for now, but I'm getting the wife interested in tuning... Where is the Odyssey board anyway?

it sounds realtively useless.. on my car thers a simple little button. You just click it off when ur gonna have some fun, and click it back on when youre done. All adding this in to your car would do is take time and energy. I think its easier to just press the little AC button.

Hitting the button is what I've been doing, but with a switch I wouldn't have to think about it. Anyone think it could be done with something as simple as the full throttle switch used for NO2 set-ups?
To inmycivicex: The '01 Ody is rated at 215hp. VTEC is somewhat noticeable but not too exciting, it is a family hauler after all.
