Iwas drivin down the road today, doin 45 in 3rd when the RPM's started jumping felt like it was gonna stall out. so i down shifted to second and hit the gas and nothing. the car just died on me and now it wont turn over just makes a noise that sounds something between a hiss and a tick. anyone have any ideas what might be wrong so i can prepare before i go up to honda tom?
Remove your distributor cap and get a friend to "crank"
it, (try to start it). If it doesn't move, then your
timing belt's shot. That's what I think, but it's a
good way to make sure, in any case.
