Hmmm...ok well my dad wants to buy a kia amanti for his next car. I dont have anything against korean car manufactuers but i told my dad for the price range of the amanti he could buy better cars. He doesnt believe me even after ive showned him some pictures of the cars he could buy(wrx, tsx, accord V6....) what are some other nice cars i can compare the amanti to thats in the same class and price range?

The amanti has an old school classy car look to it. thats probably what your dad likes about it. Personally, I'd go for the Acura TSX, but point your dad at the Chrysler 300 or even better the 300M Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth was taken over by Dahmler (Mercedes) and their new line of vehicles have been quite impressive.

Oh yeah, the Amanti is FWD, the 300 is RWD The 300 is about 300lbs lighter, 30 more hp & torque, more options, etc. Although looking at the specs, the Amanti doesn't look like a bad car, but I'd much rather go with the 300.

You can dig up info and compare them side by side at www.edmunds.com

i would not buy anything kia, the shop i work at is half nissan, and half kia. kia is the worst car i have ever seen in my life, almost every single one will be in the shop many times, and they are one of the worst cars for reliability. every kia tech at my work will tell you the same and alot more negative stuff. i would still try to sell your dad on the tsx, those are sexy
