CRX Sunroof MOD?

This may seem kind of stupid or pointless to you guys but i kinda think it's cool. I have a 91 CRX with a manual fliptop sunroof. I want to know if anyone has ever seen or attempted to make theirs a removable sunroof, kind of like how there used to be like T-Tops on old american cars that could be removed. Because it's too expensive to convert to power sunroof, so I'd like to have the whole hole and not just a 2 inch gap where air comes in. Please help or advise

cut a hole in ur roof

cut an appropriate piece of metal to fit in it, or glass, or whatever

fabricate some fasteners

i'm not kidding... serious mods require serious fabrication... and if that scares you, you have no buisiness doing the mods urself

to create a removable sunroof where there wasnt one, it requires cutting

I'm the one that wrote the thread, I'm the one looking for suggestions, and no, I dont needa bigger hole, I just want there to be a hole, like how on a power sunroof you can have it slide all the way back leaving a big hole

in that case, i would suggest just fabbing a new cover (or keep the old one, it doesnt really matter) and just fab new mounts
