Eagle Talon troubles.

Well, my freind and I just installed a BOV on his 95 Eagle Talon TSI AWD. Everything seems good, except now it drives a bit wierd. Once in a while when you floor it, it'll "Jolt" as if the fuel cuts off at around 4500rpm. It didn't happen before, only after we installed the BOV. I really don't know why this is happening, but if anyone can help me out, that would be great.

I got pics of the install if you need them.

Nope, we hooked it back into the intake. We hooked it up perfectly. Cuz we did it before on his Eclipse and it worked fine.

I really don't know what went wrong. It kinda pisses me off that his car is freaking out though. He's the guy who sold me the Type R.

What we did different though is that we spliced the tube that runs from the Wastegate Actuator to some wierd box, and led that to the extra nipple on the BOV. Apparently that's how it's supposed to be hooked up, but it's messed up.

Here's a couple pictures of the install...

You think that's what causing it to freak out? What should we hook that extra nipple up to then? Nothing?

Yup nothing. The only thing required to open the BOVis the pressure differential between the air in the charge pipes and the vacuum in the manifold when the throttle plate closes.

I think with the way you hooked it up the fact the other side is seeing boost may be causing the BOV to open temporarily and leak boost pressure which is probably why it's "jolting."

Hope it works...let me know.

On this link under the part, "What, Overboost?" they have somewhat of the same problem. So I think we just gotta replace that tube and tap it into the intercooler piping.
