you would be a slower car with a Bseries in a new civic

thats like pulling the motor out of a GSR and putting in a SOHC

b-series = outdated technology. if you're gonna swap, go w/ a k20a

No not the k20

If your going to spend money on swaping a motor swap the k24 out of the TSX it uses the same mounts as a k20 but its a 2.4L.

the k24 has too long of a stroke and will be power limited. so you gotta sacrifice a little bit of torque to get a higher revving engine that will produce a lot more power as the revs climb

Not that it would matter but I want to point out that it would be illegal if you live in cali. The engine that you swap into your car has to be the same year or newer. Unless if you swap a 01 gsr engine into a 01 civic.

anyways, why go with a hassle of a b-series motor why you can drop in a k series motor with less hassle. b series motor are getting old and most of them came from a abusive driver.

b series is the past k series is the future. b serires is all well and good if you have an older civic but we have reached a new plato (sp?) b series is a thing of the past and its slowly dieing. the k series is now what the b series was in the late 90s. this is the new technology its like darwinism adapt or die
