I have an 93 dx hatch, and I was wondering which swap would be best. would both these engines fit with the oem mounts? the GSR's are almost a 1000 dollars more with only about 15 to 20 more hp, but the GSR has more displacement. I've thought about getting the H22A or H23A swap, because the only thing to race here in munford tennessee is crappy silverados with 350s. I have a stock d-series motor and I hung with my friends 350 silverado until he pulled away at about 45mph. that thing is slow off the line. I've of people building a frankenstein motor combining the GSR block with the b16a2 head. does anyone know the best frankenstein setup with the most power gains?
what bout the b20 vtec. the b series engine from cr-v with a vtec head bore it and sleeve it and uv got urself a 2.2 lt b series engine that wif jst i/h/e will give u 180-190 whp

That's an option if one has the money and the patience. Might as well get the headwork done too at that rate.
But ya, if one has the budget for it, go for it!
If one doesn't have as much money and even less patience, I would go with the GSR over the B16A.

yeah it would be mint but it shouldnt cost as much as h22a swap should it becoz u dont have to worry bout engine mounts or anything like tht. go for a cruz round all the wrekers untill u cum accross a damaged cr-v. i no alot of the cost will be makeing the non vtec block and the vtec head work reliably together. aparently thrs not alot of room to bore the engine out etha
