help

im only 14 so have a year before i plan on buying my car, but I have heard from a few people i should look for a 91 crx si, but ive also heard i should get a 89 crx hf, its the slowest model but its has 4 injectors and the si has 2, and later on if i wanted to do a swap it would be better and more wise to use the hf because its lighter and has 4 injetors right? and would also be more in my price range. But also what would i do the swap with? dont know too much because 14 and still learning about the engine info. So would like the help

thx - alex

how many injectors the old engine has has nothing to do with the new engine. The swap will have its own set of injectors so disregard whoever said that. As far as which is better for the swap i would go with the one that is a) lighter and b) the one that is in the best shape like external and interior. I would only worry about the engine a little bit since you are looking into getting a swap anyway. Just make sure there arent any major flaws dealing with the engine.

Kinda off topic but you are just 14 and you've got 2 years to go before you start driving. You might want to look into getting something a little newer. It's hard enough to find a CRX these days in decent shape and its just going to get harder. Goodluck and welcome to SHO.

If you're planning to do a swap, I'd also say go for the lightest. But you'll also want to make sure the body is still good also. Good luck!! They're not all too easy to come by. Make sure you keep us posted. And there are a lot of people here with a ton of good info. Check out the CRX forum!
