Honda engine Codes
Okay, so we all know about b-series engines, d-series, f, h, k. B being the oldest, k being the newest. but where are A, c, e, g, i, and J? did honda skip these letters for a reason? bad mojo? Or what? motorcycle engines maybe?
the A series were in the earlier Accords, the C series is in the NSX, the G series were in the Vigor and first gen TL, and the J series are the V-6 accords and TL. the only ones they skipped were the vowels.
whoops made a mistake there were E series engines, it was in their pre 86 cars mainly just carburated. also any engine with i-VTEC is also designated as being part of the I series, its up to you whether you accept that or not. theyre also working on the next generation I series called the i-DSI, its gonna be a low displacement lean burning engine but the engine code is L.
