I think theyre making just the standard civic available with a deisel. The strides that have been made in deisel technology the past few years are huge. I was in europe this summer and drove a FORD deisel station wagon. If they sold that here, it would sell. You couldnt even tell it was a deisel (turbo too), aside from being able to hear the turbo spool. It idled as smooth as a gas engine. Im sure the Honda's will be at least as good, if not better.

I'd get a deisel if it wasnt so hard to find it at gas stations..

where the hell do you live?? ( i know its by your name)
diesel is available here at every gas station, unless you go to denver, then there are a few suburbs that banned diesel and you can get a ticket for driving a diesel in their area, anyways IMO you dont need a diesel in a car only for a truck, also diesel fuel is almost the same price as mid/premium gas is where i live.... a diesel CTR would be a waste, just like the new mugen Si, dont even get me started on that

diesel is at fewer gas stations than not where i live. baton rouge, louisiana. i'm reserving comments on a diesel ctr until i see one.

Diesel now days usually gives better gas mileage and better performance “HP and torque” over gas, so a diesel CTR would be very nice.

Diesel can be hard to come by in some areas, but it's not THAT difficult. I'd buy a diesel Civic, if I didn't just buy a 190D.

On a side note, my 190D runs a 14 (I believe) gallon diesel tank (40mpg highway on diesel) and a 15 gallon secondary tank full of vegetable oil (free, 35mpg highway or so), so I don't have to fill up very often.
