how did you learn about cars?
i've been reading through the "garage" forums and i'm just amazed about how you all know so damn much about engines and cars in general.
How did you all learn about all the stuff about eninges and your cars and all that?

back in high school, my friend and his little bro would always talk about cars. they got me interested in it and showed me some stuff....when my friend and i graduated we had separate plans for our cars and stuff....a few weeks later, he was riding shotgun in some faggot ricer's ford probe going to the mall and the driver did some big errors in the canyon, lost it, ran into a pickup and my friend died a few hours later. from what i understand it was a painful death (broken rib punctured a lung and blood seeped in causing him to basically slowly drown in his own blood from the inside. this was when fast and furious came out too....dude had the stickers and shit all over his car
anyways, in order to keep my friend alive mentally, i made an effort to learn about cars and stuff. i hung out w/ more people that were into cars, read reviews on products, started doing car work on my own, and installs on other cars too. it helped that i have an engineering mindset also cuz i'm always interested in how things work. but most of the shit that i learned was thru hands on experience oh and my physics classes also helped me see a lot of things too
