Keep the Accord? or move on?

Ok, I've had my 01 Accord for about 2 years now, it only has 24K on the clock on the stock F23A1 engine. For a while I've been thinking of boosting it after doing a 5 speed swap and building the transmission with a nice clutch/flywheel and shortshifter. However, I've often thought of selling it to start from a better platform rather than dumping 5-7 grand into the Accord. My other options are as follows, an EG hatch with a B20 VTEC in it tuned with HonData and some clucthwork has been done (know the guy who owns it really well and he doesn't drive like a jackass); or to scrap the whole Honda game and move on to a Saab 93 Aero after I get out of college, which at that point in time they will have an AWD model out and I will be looking for the oldest year model with that available (because $ is definitely an object).

EDIT: I just rechecked the stats on the EG and its got a GSR head on it running 12.4:1 compression on a built block, the head remains to be built (causing it to blow? )

Leonidas, if I was to get it....its got some shitty eBay exhaust on it, is there a way to cut down my accord cat-back so I could keep the EVO2 system and mount it on the EG? or would I have to blow 400-600 more bucks on a nice new system?

EDIT: here are 2 pics of said EG, the only differences are that now it has matching red mesh rims rather than the LS blades and the stock motor mounts are history, now its got hasports.

yeah if the piping diameter is the same then you can just cut off the evo2 muffler and weld it onto the existing piping.

the eg looks clean

haha the eBay muffler will change your perspective of that immediately, but the matching red mesh rims make it look loads better.

EDIT: I'm gonna keep this poll in mind for another week, right now it looks like I'm keeping the 4dr pimp-mobile

IF I were to go EG, would the head not having been built and the factor of 12.4:1 compression lead anyone to believe that the motor won't last too much longer?

your in college. drive it until you graduate. no point in dumping money in either project.

yeah, that is definitely some of the best advice I have ever heard from this board +1 for you bro. I am still going to keep an open mind about all three options 'til Wednesday, then I'm gonna recheck the condition of the EG and make a decision until I graduate college.

ahh yess..

ive had this same dilemma many times.. keep the accord, get something better, what to do..

i would keep it if you like it.. either as a daily or a project car. eventually when funds allow get a second car to either keep as a daily or as a project car so that you can have the best of both worlds. that is my plan anyway..
