Go buy a repair manual for your car. Then go buy a decent tool set. Then start doing things like oil changes, spark plugs, etc soon enough you will be swapping engines.
Buy a Haynes manual, and order a Summit catalog. Read both. You'll learn all kinds of stuff. How to repair things from the Haynes manual, and what different parts are from Summit.
Repair manuals are a great way to learn about how these machines are put together.. if you have any formal experience with working on or rebuilding autos, repair manuals will tell you about 70% of what you want to know about Hondas... The rest, I would try magazines and forums... Dont trust forum info unless pple can back up what they say from personal experience or they cite their information from some non-internet location, you will feel dumb if you trust what someone says and they are full of BS.... Go to Barnes & Noble and spend 20$ on 4 or 5 mags, and see which ones provide the info you are looking for.... Also, get your hands on some parts catalogs, and click on the banners here on SHO to also get access to parts stores online.... That is a good way to get started and to get yourself an idea of what you want to know more of...
Mods: JDM H22A Swap, Other small mods. More in the future.
you can get all the info you want, but honestly, none of it will matter till you get hands on experiance doing it... so best thing to do is to get a haynes manual and go out to your car and start looking at stuff... at least thatll let you know more about your car just being honest... book smarts in the automotive world is like calling yourself a race car driver just cause youve seen it on tv...
