Morning starts (Let your car warm up or drive right off)
Just curious, do you let your cars warm up in the morning or do you start up and drive right off. I've heard somewhere down the road m/t doesn't realy need to be warmed up unlike a/t where the trani could be damaged if you rip on it.
Let me hear what you guys do

Most of the time I do unless Im in a crazy rush
It depends on how cold it is. On the radio show cartalk they said that 30 seconds should do it for mild weather but for snow, it should probably be at least 1 minute.
I dont live where it snows, so I let it sit for a while like a minute and then leave...while letting it sit, i put on my seatbelt, check the mirrors, and making sure everything is up to par

I think with modern cars warm up really isn't needed, or just not as long

It's never cold in the LBC.
I'm above you on the other side of the 110. This might sound strange but I usually count to 10 before I put my car into gear and drive off.

auto or manual its a good idea to let your car run for at least 30 secs before you take off, the engine and trans in my rex are backs ups I had laying around and they are both on their last leg along with the car so I just fire it up and go, but I let my mustang idle for at least 5 mins before I take off.
good to get the oil warmed up a bit, also engines run richer when they are cold, good way to wash down rings which isn't good. On vehicles with a/t I would wait at least 1 min even in the summer
winter time though I let everything warm up for at least 5-10 mins

I usually only let it warm up for like 30 sec but, I baby it untill it's fully warm. Unless it's winter, then I let it warm up for at least 2 min or how ever long it takes to defrost the windows.
