Q: I pondered this as well....was thinking about an MSD cap w/external Blaster SS coil, some good wires and a replacement set of NGK's - Intent was to increase spark performance/duration w/o replacing the entire modure (I also read that the stock unit is plenty stong) - thoughts?

i suggest keeping it stock. i have a msd digital 6 and i feel no difference with or without it. only reason i have it is for the retard feature for nitrous

I suggest you use that money for something that will be worth it. Unless your running a 12:1 + compression, or boosting. The stock one is fine..

the truth has been spoken, i have found out the hard way, i bought it all sci, cap, wires(the only good things to have),blaster. msd causes more problems in the end, I swear. one day i might use it again, maybe.

Donald Maxwell is on a distinguished road
I ran a full msd setup on my hatch with a external ss coil, msd cap, 8.5ml wires and a 6al box. Not much change but changin spark plugs every other month. It was a waste money on the kit with a mildly tuned 1.5 liter non-vtec motor.

I agree with many of the above statements...You dont really need it at this stage int he game..I had a regular 6a and moved up to a digital 6 for the two-step and nitrous retard function...I havent had any problems to speak of with this setup either..and absolutely love the two step function for the track

and i jsut noticed the n00b above me grave dug it..oh well...+1 post count
