I put a 2.25 Tsudo cat-back on my civic last summer, and its just way to loud. I have the stock air box still on, 4-1 header, and stock cat. I love the way the thing sounds, but it will give you a head-ache at cruising speeds (55-60) I have a silencer for it, but it sounds like teh crap with it in. I've been pulled over twice now, luckely both warnings.
I was thinking maybe welding in a second resignator, but I'm not sure if that will do the job or keep the sound sweet.
Any ideas guys? And if you think the resignator idea would work, what brand would you get and what would you expect to pay for it?
hmm.. the muffler idea sounds pretty good, but what kind should I get? I really could give two shits about performance, it's a civic and it will probobly never see a turbo or a swap, I just want a good sound that wont rattle my head off or get me pulled over.
a friend of mine just got a ticket for having a loud muffler, with stock pipes...it's a universal 2'5" with no silencer...he gonna have to get a whole new muffler.

yeah that happend to a friend of mine too....they said it was disturbing the peace
I have a HP Racing axle-back exhaust and it's a real low beautiful sound. im sure it'd sound a bit different with a DOHC once that VTEC kicks in.
but at high RPMS my engine drowns out the exhaust anyways
you can put a resinator on it and it will make it quieter but to keep the good deep moan use a v8 res i found one on a camero that was not to big but had an allmost 3'' inlet and outlet at a pick and pull yard for $5 give it a shot
