napa napa here i come
i love napa, gotta go get some brake shoes for the beast. i hate drum brakes, they suck teh balls. am i the only one that hates em?

Napa sucks. I always go to Autozone. And no, you ain't the only one that hates drums. I'd convert the rear drums to discs on my car if I could, but I don't think it's worth it at the moment.

not free, but i get like 50% off everything. not a big deal with brake pads, but when i order big shit like front rotors and calipers, i saved fat money. i swapped my whole front brake system for just ovver 100 bucks. cant beat it. and i dont have to pay labor, so thats always a plus.

Yeah, getting half off is great too. And if posible, I like to do my own wrench work like your were sayin, so you don't have to pay labor. I have one of those repair manuals for my car, so I can just basically do anything if I have the proper tools. Much better than taking it to the mechs. The ones here always overcharge.

i dont mind doing drum brakes it u have the tools for it. for break shoes i hate both napa and autozone. ive had problems with their shoes falling apart. i think ive done 1 on a suburban that all 4 shoes crumbled up when i took the drum out. i was like damn.....i think they were napa shoes.
but i havent had problems with the shoes i order from carquest. but OEM is the way to go

I agree, I would never buy brake pads or shoes from either napa or autozone, napa shoes break down, you can see how uneven the braking material is on the metal backing plate, and the Autozone pads don't stop for SHIT
